Serra Sinem Tekiroğlu is a postdoctoral researcher at the Language and Dialogue Technologies group at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Italy. She has completed her Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics / NLP, on lexical semantics and figurative language processing. For her thesis, she specifically focused on the association between 5 human senses and natural language to improve computational linguistics tasks, such as metaphor identification and textual creativity assessment. In Odeuropa, she works on the creation of the olfactory taxonomies using lexical databases in multiple languages.
